Important 2021-2022 Registration Information
Elective registration for the 2021-2022 school year for Rising 10th-12th grade students will take place the week of February 8-12. Additional information can be found on the website at Rising 10th-12th Grade Registration
Elective Registration will be completed using a Microsoft Form. Students must be logged into their Cobb County Office 365 Account to access the form.
The links below open February 8 at 12:00am and close at 11:59pm on February 12.
Students will only be able to submit their response one time.

Registration Q&A with the Counselors
Registration is opening on February 8th and closing on February 12th. The Counseling Staff will be offering two virtual Q&A sessions to students and families on the following dates and times.

Get Creative!!! We need your ideas for our class T-Shirt design! Turn in your design to Mrs. Forbes by email or to room 2211. Design submissions must be school appropriate and include our graduation year. Turn your design in by Friday, February 5th.
Virtual Dual Enrollment Information Night
Allatoona High School Counseling is offering a virtual Dual Enrollment Information Night for Rising 10th-11th Grade Students and their Parents/Guardians. Anyone that is considering particpating in the dual enrollment program during the 2021-22 school year should attend. If you have already had a child go through the dual enrollment program, it is very important that you also attend as there have been a lot of changes over the last year.
I have attached additional information about the Dual Enrollment that the DOE has shared, but I also encourge you to review the information on the Allatona Counseling Dual Enrollment page. The link is below.

FYI: Allatoona also requires that students submit an Intent form (Allatoona High School (cobbk12.org) during the registration period if you plan to dual enroll for fall and/or spring. If you do not submit the Intent form at registration and attend an informational meeting, you will not be allowed to dual enroll next year.
Please save all questions until after the meeting.
Student ID Information
Face to face students please be expecting to receive your student IDs in your first block class. Virtual students your IDs are in the front office and you will need to pick those up during regular school hours. If you did not have a picture taken on picture day in November or on re-take day in January, you will not have an ID.
Also, students who had pictures taken on retake/make up day can go get their proof packages in the front office

SAT vs ACT: The differences, the timelines, and the expectations of colleges
GCAPP is looking for courageous, inspiring teens and young adults to join our 2021 Youth Advisory Council (YAC). We are seeking young people, ages 16-24 and residing in Georgia, with interests in current health issues, leadership development, and advocating for change in their communities as well as statewide. All eligible youth are encouraged to apply to help represent and make a difference in all 159 Georgia counties.
As potential GCAPP ambassadors, new YAC members can expect the following:
· Host live webinars and events.
· Be a voice for youth as a featured panelist.
· Facilitate workshops for peers and parents
· Participate in leadership, public speaking, event planning, marketing, and community building trainings
· Network with youth-serving professionals and young leaders from around the state.
· Incentives, prizes, and more!
