Habit 5 also includes having mutual understanding for each other. If you are able to have empathy for each other, then both of you will be more efficient listeners.
Habits at Home ~ Habit 5 ~ Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

- Define “empathy.” Discuss ways to show empathy when others feel sad, hurt, or disappointed.
- Discuss body language. Talk about how we can use it to know how people are feeling.
