The mission of Coordinated School Health is to connect physical, emotional and social health of the child to their academic success. LES Positivi-TEE Tuesday
This brought so much joy to our day here in the CSH office. Positivity can boost serotonin and dopamine in the brain leading to feelings of happiness and improving mental health! What a great project for staff, students, and virtual students! Way to go LES! Click here for more photos!
Mr. Garren and Mr. Tinker
These two fellas have worked super hard and put in countless hours on all things COVID, the physical and mental health of our students and staff. Mr. Garren works to promote an atmosphere of positivity and mental healthiness with his "Good Vibes" motto!
SES Chalk the Blues Away

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September was designated Childhood Caner Awareness Month to bring attention to childhood cancer, which remains the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14. Check out St. Jude for more information.
National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month
About 1 in 5 (19%) children in the United States has obesity. Certain groups of children are more affected than others. National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month provides a chance for all of us to learn more about this serious health condition. While there is no simple solution, there are many ways communities can support children with their journey to good health. Go to the CDC for more info.
National Preparedness Month
National Preparedness Month (NPM) is recognized each September to promote family and community disaster planning now and throughout the year. As our nation continues to respond to COVID-19, there is no better time to be involved this September. Click here for tips and ideas when planning.
National Suicide Prevention Week

September 10 is the day the world brings awareness to this matter.
National Women's Health and Fitness
Wednesday, September 30th is National Women’s Health & Fitness Day. This annual observance aims to focus attention on the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness for women. Visit USDA for more information and ideas.
World Heart Day
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the number one cause of death on the planet. It has many causes: from smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, to air pollution, and rare and neglected conditions such as Chagas Disease and cardiac amyloidosis. Click here for more information.
