The VIRTUAL Mitten Tree
Sign up and help make a Lincoln Lion’s Christmas brighter!
The Giving Tree, also known as the Mitten Tree, is a Lincoln School tradition where the families of Lincoln help other families of Lincoln with holiday gifts & meals.
Here's how the Virtual Giving Tree works:
1) CLICK HERE to see the gifts needing to be purchased
2) Review the options listed and choose the gift(s) you’d like to buy.
3) Sign up! You will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com. Note: SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, or have any questions, please contact our little elf, Missy Winkworth, at missy.winkworth@pwssd.k12.wi.us or 262-268-5815.
4. Start shopping!
5. After you've purchased the gift(s), please bring your UN-wrapped gifts to the LES Office by Mon., December 6th.

LES Holiday Program
Mrs. Oftedahl, music director at Lincoln School, and our 1st through 4th grade students have been preparing for the annual Holiday Program on Thursday, December 2nd, at the Port Washington High School PAC. Since the program will be at the high school, Mrs. Oftedahl has made arrangements for a practice session earlier that day:
- 1st – 4th grade will leave LES at 8:45am by bus
- 1st & 2nd grade will perform for 3rd & 4th grade (approximately 30 minutes)
- 3rd & 4th grade will perform for 1st & 2nd grade (approximately 1 hour)
- All students will return to LES in time for lunch
Permission slips for bussing to the rehearsals went home yesterday. Please send in your permission slips by Wednesday, December 1st.
Evening Family Performances for the Holiday Program on Thursday, December 2nd
- 1st & 2nd Grade @ 6:00 P.M
- 3rd & 4th Grade @ 7:15 P.M.
American Education Week Marches On - November 15 - 19
A huge thank you to PALS and all the parents who have been helping out this week for American Education Week! The Lincoln staff truly appreciates all you do for us and your acts of kindness do not go unnoticed. Thank you so much!
***BUTTER BRAIDS FOR SALE!*** NEW PALS fundraiser at LES
Order sheets for our newest fundraiser, the Butter Braid Fundraiser, are going home today with your children. Butter braids are the perfect sweet treat for the up coming Holidays! Start selling today and a percentage of the funds raised will be going back to PALS to support Lincoln.
Orders are due Tuesday, 11/30, and pick up will be Friday, 12/10, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

New Features in the Free and Reduced Program

School Day Hours
Students should arrive to school between 8:20 & 8:35am and go directly to their classroom. They need to be at their desks and ready to go at 8:40am. Our Breakfast Program will begin at 8:15am every morning beginning Tuesday, September 7th. Every child is welcome to take part in our free Breakfast Program. Our school day ends at 3:30pm, please be sure your children know how they are getting home.
ABSENCES: Please call our attendance line 262-268-5801 to report an absence for any day your child will be out. If you know your child will be out for an extended amount of time, please fill out a Pre-Excused Absence form for our teachers to assign any work that will be missed.
Dentist appointment? Orthodontist? Doctor?
If your child needs to leave during the school day, for the safety of your child, he or she must be signed out from the office prior to leaving the building and signed back in when returning to school.
