Conductor Corner

Hello Families!

I can't believe that November is already coming to a close and we are deep into the holiday season. As I think about Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express how thankful I am to be able to spend my days with your children. I truly believe that we have the best students here at DMS and this school family would not be the same without your child! Each student brings something unique to our school and I feel so blessed to have each one here. I see students do amazing things every day, from learning something new to doing acts of kindness. I will never take my responsibility here at Durand Middle School lightly and I want you all to know just how important your children are to me. I am thankful for the students, staff, and families of DMS! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and I look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday!

Student and Staff Member of the Week

Student: Drew Alward

All of Drew's teachers came together to nominate Drew for the student of the week. Drew is a hard working student with a great sense of humor. His teachers appreciate his on track behavior and he is a good example to others! Great job, Drew!

Staff Member: Mrs. Burk

Mrs. Burk works very hard with students every day to make sure they have what they need to be successful. She works with students on behavior, but most importantly makes sure all students have an adult they can connect with. She is such a wonderful addition to our staff and the students appreciate her so much!
