Buccaneer Newsletter
May 3rd - May 7th
Happy Sunday!
Dear Buccaneer Parents and Students,
Throughout this challenging academic year, our teachers and our nurse have worked to meet the needs of our students, our parents, and our staff and we want to honor and thank them for their service. What a better time than Teacher and Nurse's appreciation week, the week of May 3rd-7th, to show our teachers and our nurse just how much we love and respect them. We would love for you to send in a picture, video, note, or email to our gratitude link https://forms.gle/LoVZGAL7Qs1wc4iy7 . Or if you prefer, you can send your gratitude message directly to your teachers and our nurse! Thank you for helping us make Teacher and Nurses Appreciation Week a success!
Students, I also want to remind you that the greatest gift that you can give yourself, your parents, and your teachers, is that of your commitment to excellence. Some of you might not think it is important to finish strong; but it is very important to finish with the conviction that you gave everything in your power to learn as much as you possibly could. This year has been challenging; we understand this and we have been very understanding and flexible. However, we do not want you to give up. Do you best and give your best. I hope that we have instilled in all of our Buccaneers a love for learning and a realization that persistence, dedication, perseverance are important. You need to have that intrinsic motivation to reach your highest potential because you really want to achieve excellence for your loved ones and yourself.
You will be an 8th grader or a High Schooler next year. You owe it to yourself to be as prepared as possible for your next endeavor.
We are here to help you in anything we can.
Be Strong, be Kind, and strive to achieve Excellence!
Your principal,
Julissa Gracias

This coming Monday, May 3, through Wednesday, May 5 , our students will be taking the Speaking part of the ELPAC test. Our school tester along with 10 staff members from the research and evaluation office will be administering this part of the test through our PE classes.
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
This May, during Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we recognize the history and achievements of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) across our Nation. In the midst of a difficult year of pain and fear, we reflect on the tradition of leadership, resilience, and courage shown by AANHPI communities, and recommit to the struggle for AANHPI equity. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/04/30/a-proclamation-on-asian-american-and-native-hawaiian-pacific-islander-heritage-month-2021/
