NEW! Message to Parents of On-Campus Students
The PUSD Board of Education as well as the CDPH “Safe for Schools” team approved our plan to bring students back in a phased-in approach, expanding the small cohort model. This temporary one-day-a-week schedule will stay in place until the County moves from the purple tier to the red tier, at which point we will notify you of the start date of when we will move to the A/B two day-a-week schedule.
What does this mean for our students who will attend on-campus learning?
- If your child is a Monday-Tuesday group (last name *A-L) - sixth graders come only Monday, March 15 and seventh/eighth graders come only Tuesday, March 16.
- If your child is a Wednesday-Thursday group (last name *M-Z) - sixth graders come only Wednesday, March 17 and seventh/eighth graders come only Thursday, March 18.
- Friday will be asynchronous for all students.
*For those who were approved to attend a cohort group other than the original alpha-split, please come with the cohort group you were moved to. That is your group.
We will send an email and do phone messages this weekend reminding you of your child's day to attend next week. Watch for that detailed email!
Volunteers Needed
NEW! Attendance Robo Calls…Did You Know?
If you receive an attendance robo call that your child was marked absent you can now look in ParentVue or StudentVue to find out which class your child was marked absent. If your student feels the absence was made in error, please have your child reach out to that specific teacher to verify.

At the core of the program is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation's largest cyber defense competition that puts high school and middle school students in charge of securing virtual networks.

Mesa Verde PTSA Needs You!
As we navigate through the uncertainty of 2020-2021, our PTSA is working tirelessly to keep things positive and keep motivating our students and teachers alike. Some examples include the Reflections Art Program, Dine Out nights, Teacher Appreciation, Welcome Back and Volunteer assistance, as well as assisting in coordinating Promotion.
As we approach our Spring elections, we are in need of parents who are interested in supporting our kids and teachers, as well as staying in the know with all that is going on at Mesa Verde (we all want that, right?) We have several critical board positions to fill this Spring. Below is a list of the open 2021-2022 Board positions, along with a basic job description for each (training and documentation will be provided for all positions). All of these positions are important to our school community and culture at Mesa Verde. Please consider volunteering and feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank you in advance for getting involved, helping us to keep our PTSA active – and supporting our Mesa Verde Committee!

The Website Chair maintains the data and links on the PTSA website, so that it is current and remains a strong communications module for our Mesa Verde community.

8th Grade Course Request Information
It is time to start the transition to High School. All 8th grade student presentations will be held on March 19th. Students will hear about their future high school and receive information on how to start selecting their courses. Click the brown button below to view the flyer containing information and links for parent nights, student presentation and open house drop-ins for all PUSD high schools.
For families who are waiting for a transfer request, your student needs to attend the high school presentation of the high school that they are slated to attend, not the one they are requesting a transfer. When they select their courses within synergy, they will need the high school codes for the school they are slated to attend (home location). All the different schools' virtual presentations will be recorded and accessible on the high school websites.
