Perkiomen Valley Athletics
Week of Sept 12
Fall Sports
We continue to see many of our fall sports doing well. Boys' golf is off to a tremendous start to their season by winning 2 matches again this week. The team is currently 6-0 in the PAC and 9-1 overall. It seems like Coach Hunsicker has different golfers each match step up and play well. The girls' golf team continues to play well led by Abigail McCorkell who shot a career low 34 last week. Girls' tennis also had a great week by winning both of their matches against PJP and Boyertown. On the pitch, girls' soccer has a record of 4-1 with big PAC wins last week over Boyertown and Methacton. Boys' and girls' cross country had a successful weekend at the Unionville Invitational finishing second and eighth out of 40 and 42 teams respectively. Lastly, the football team won at Cheltenham 35-25 on Friday night to improve their record to 3-0.
As indicated in Dr. Russell's message last week, at our recent home football games, administration has observed the need for greater oversight of our elementary and middle school students. For the remainder of the football season, these students must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry into the game. Students need to be sure to bring their student identification with them to the gaems. Student safety is our highest priority and we appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Felty Jr.
Athletic Director
