SIP Day

During our SIP day last week, our staff participated in various professional development sessions. Our general education teachers participated in Mathematical Problem Based Learning sessions, IXL, and Rocket Math sessions. Our special education teachers attended literacy intervention training. In addition, our paraprofessional received communication training from our speech and language pathologists.

This year, to help support our district and school math goal. Our students will have access to IXL Math. IXL Math provides digital learning opportunities for students.

Rocket Math

Students will be utilizing Rocket Math this year. Rocket Math is a supplemental learning program that teaches students addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. Specifically, the program teaches math facts–the basic building blocks of all math.

Students learn using printable worksheets and verbal partner practice, or through an Online Game with programmed feedback. Both methods only take a few minutes a day and can greatly increase your child’s success with math.

IXL Math

This year, our students will have access to IXL Math. IXL will help students gain fluency and confidence in math! IXL helps students master essential skills at their own pace through fun and interactive questions, built-in support, and motivating awards.

A.L.I.C.E. Training

This week, our staff will be participating in A.L.I.C.E. training.
