5th Grade Volunteers at Feed My Starving Children
5th Graders have been learning about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Although Human Rights day was Saturday, December 10th, Petty’s 5th grade class volunteered at Feed My Starving Children last night in celebration of this day.
Article 25 of the UDHR states “You have the right to have what you need to live a decent life, including food, clothes, a home, and medical care for your family”.

Updates from the Technology Department
Parent reminders regarding the new iPads:
If there is an issue or an item is not working, please contact your building administrator to get a replacement as soon as possible.
Please help with the expectation of having the iPad charged once the student comes to school. It is very important that the student has a charged iPad so that class and instruction time isn’t lost accomplishing this task.
Please remind your child that the iPads are for school use, not personal use. They should not be used for taking personal pictures outside of school.
The iPads should be used for school-related work at home, not watching YouTube videos. YouTube can be a valuable educational tool when used appropriately. Please help us monitor this tool so that we can continue to utilize the value of it and not have the negative aspects.
The staff at Antioch CCSD 34 thank you for your continued support regarding the iPads and their value in enhancing the learning of your student. Please reach out to email@example.com with any questions or concerns.
Apple ID Password
The technology department has seen an increase in students’ iPads requiring the Apple ID password to be entered in due to updates occurring. Please don’t allow or instruct your child to click cancel. This password can affect future updates as well as other features on the iPads. All students’ Apple ID passwords can be found on PowerSchool under other school information on the PowerSchool parent portal.
Updates from the Business Office
Information for Families:
If you have an established payment plan with the district, no late fees will be charged. If you would like to discuss your student account please contact Maria Treto-French at 847-838-8483. All families with outstanding fees will be receiving an email on the first of each month. If you are not receiving a monthly email and know your account has outstanding balances, please contact us. We are working together to be stewards of all taxpayer dollars.
A friendly reminder regarding student transportation:
Students should arrive at their designated bus stop 5 minutes prior to their scheduled pickup time.
Please contact the Transportation Department directly at 847-838-8388 for any busing questions.
