NASA Mission Venus Express

Venus Express European Space Agency
On the 26th of October 2005 the European Space Agency (ESA) launched a 1250 kg probe which arrived at Venus 153 days later. The Venus Express Mission used the same design as the Mars Express and discovered many things during this mission, the main discovery was the planet is geologically and volcanically active.
It is hoped that such a study can contribute to understanding more of the atmosphere of this planet in general, while contributing to a knowledge and of the climate change on earth. The mission ended on the 16th of December while the probe ran out of fuel and crashed on Venus.
