Southmont High School
November 2022
Reflections From the Principal
Dear Mountie Students and Families,
It’s been a very busy month at Southmont. Daylight savings time ends today, November 6. I hope you remembered to move your clocks back 1 hour.
This week marks the last week of the 1st trimester. We will have final exams on Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11. Please make sure your students are present and well-rested for their final exams both days.
Thursday - Final Exams periods 2 & 4
Friday - Final Exams periods 1, 3, & 5
Students will begin Trimester 2 on Monday, November 14. For the most up-to-date information on your student's grades and assignments, please check your Powerschool Family Access account. If you are unable to login to your account, feel free to call the office for assistance (765) 866-0350.
Students are allowed to wear shorts to school after Fall Break. In the past, there has been a rule in the student handbook stating that students cannot wear shorts after Fall Break or before Spring Break. This rule has been removed from the 2022-2023 Southmont Student Handbook.
We have much to be thankful for at Southmont. We appreciate all you do to ensure your students are successful at school. If I can be of any assistance to anyone, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Yours in education,
Mrs. Hammond
Principal
