Coach Resources February 2023

As coaches, it is so important to cultivate emotional resilience within ourselves so that we can help others do the same. Here is a resource to click on to remind you to Take Care of Yourself

Click HERE for more information on cultivating emotional resilience.

As a coach, you may have often wondered if you are supporting change that improves educator and child well-being. Jim Knight writes about strategies for engaging and motivating educators we work with that promote change -- "Why Teacher Autonomy is Central to Coaching Success." And if you are a coach interested in the Metro area regional login page or a spiral-bound copy of the Coaching Competencies, please reach out to me at bmorton@esu3.org

We all know that children do not learn the exact same skills at the exact same time. However, as a quality child care provider, you also recognize when a child is not developing skills as expected for their age. The good news is you don’t just have to watch and worry.

The Early Development Network (EDN) provides services to children birth through two years of age in all Nebraska School Districts. A concerned parent can contact their local school district to receive a free developmental evaluation to help them determine if their child is delayed in developing skills. When a child is eligible for EDN services, trained professionals will help families (and you) know the best way to help their child grow and learn.

All Nebraska school districts are obligated to provide services beginning at birth for children who meet eligibility criteria and demonstrate a need for early intervention. To make a referral, use the school district contact numbers below:
