Our Practical Nursing Program is a great asset we are able to offer to post-secondary students and it's also an asset to our community. Marla has created a Practical Nursing Facebook page and regularly shares photos of her students engaging in hands-on activities preparing them for the field of healthcare.
Thanks Marla for helping educate our community about one of the many things that make our district great!
*STAFF RECOGNITION AWARDS SEASON-The Clinton School District is seeking nominations for the End of Year awards listed below.
Nominations close 2 weeks from today. Make sure you take time to nominate a colleague who makes this a great place to learn and teach!
Also, don't forget about those community partners/volunteers who are an asset to our district and nominate them for the Friend of Education award.

*SUMMER LATCHKEY POSITION AVAILABLE-The Latchkey (After School Care) Coordinator summer term position is now open. To apply, e-mail a letter of interest to Assistant Superintendent, Lori Shannon, by March 15th. Details are listed below.
The position will run for the month of June from 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. during summer school.
Preferred educational requirements include:
Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a closely-related field from an accredited university; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Major responsibilities include:
Planning a variety of activities for students
Supervision, guidance, and discipline
Ordering snacks for the program
Monitoring safety and accounting for all children at all times
Communicating with parents and/or guardians
Receiving and registering payments

*SUMMER SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR-The district is now accepting letters of interest from Clinton School District employees for the position of summer school administrator. The summer school administrator will be responsible for managing the summer school program from June 3rd through June 28th and will be paid a $3,000 stipend. Each day will run from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Detailed mentoring and orienting will be provided to the successful candidate by Jake Kenney prior to the first day of summer school.
Applicants must have a post-bachelor's degree in educational administration. If you meet this criterion, please email a letter of interest to Assistant Superintendent, Lori Shannon, by 3:00 pm on March 15th. Email or call Mrs. Shannon if you have any questions.

*SNOW MAKE-UP DAYS-Without additional inclement weather days, the last day of school for students AND staff will be on Friday, May 24th. This will be an early release day for students, and a full day for staff.

I have been with the Clinton Technical School since December 2014 as the Coordinator for the Practical Nursing Program. I enjoy being a Cardinal because of the wonderful staff I work with.
*Tell us a little bit about your family/where you are from. I am originally from Holden, MO, but moved to the Windsor/Calhoun area in 2004. My husband ,Tim, and I have been together for 27 years.
*Best vacation you've been on and why? The best vacation ever was visiting the Colorado Red Rocks and Pikes Peak.
*Favorite, can't miss television show? Criminal Minds
*Describe yourself in 3 words. 100% Farm Girl
*What are 3 things people would be surprised to know about you?
I am not sure people would be surprised by this but:
1). I love being outside
2). I love being around animals
3). I love to watch the nursing students blossom into amazing nurses as they complete the program
