Bipolar disorder is a depressive disorder that causes frequent and violent mood sings.
Signs and Symptoms
Signs and symptoms of manic bipolar disorder include racing speech and/or thoughts, increased energy, decreased need for sleep, elevated mood, increased physical/mental activity, excessive irritability, poor judgement, and reckless behavior.

Diagnosis is usually difficult, as it can be mistaken easily for other disorders like ADHD. There is no cure for bipolar disorder, but medicines and other treatments can help the person control and manage symptoms.
