Return to Face to Face: Week of January 10
- Mask mandate for all FCS buildings, schools, and on buses
- Pre-approved absences for this week
- No eating or drinking (unless using a straw and wearing a mask) in any classroom or hallway
- No visitors to the school
- Canceled field trips and club meetings
- Athletics, performing arts, and work out limitations

Course Corrections - Deadline Extended
Schedule Correction Request Form due date has been extended to 4:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022. Please submit the completed form to the Counseling Office or to your counselor via email before the deadline. Counselors will change the schedule in the order of submission upon approval.
If one of the following situations does not apply, you are NOT eligible for a schedule correction. Switching between online and in-person will not be permitted. Corrections will only be made for the following reason(s):
- A student is scheduled for a class that the student has already earned credit
- A student has two of the same class on his/her schedule
- A student has met the prerequisite for a course
- A student is missing a course required for graduation
- The student did not request the assigned elective course on his/her schedule
- A student is missing a lunch period or class period
- A student would like to level down (i.e., AP World History to World History)

FAFSA and HOPE Scholarship Application
If you have not completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) please do so as soon as possible. Colleges need this information to determine eligibility for grants, loans, and work-study programs. FAFSA Application
Even though HOPE and Zell Miller are included in FAFSA, Georgia Student Finance Commission suggests applying for these scholarships by completing the Georgia Student Financial Aid Application System (GSFAPPS). To access GSFAPPS, an applicant must go through www.gafutures.org.
Mid-Year Transcripts
Seniors who have applied to colleges that require a mid-year transcript with first semester grades should request the transcript in Naviance. Specify if the college is through Common App or if the senior applied directly to the institution. For more information, please see the Senior College Help Page for Naviance.
Scholarships
Students can access the scholarship database in Naviance found through Classlink. Scholarships are listed under the Colleges tab and then Scholarship and Money.
Abbott & Fenner Scholarship
Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to offer their scholarship for the 16th year. They will award up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. The deadline is June 12, 2022. For more information visit: abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.

PTSA Senior Scholarships
The CHS PTSA will be awarding four, $500 scholarships to 2022 graduates, including two scholarships awarded on behalf of the Class of 2020 Endowment Fund. The CHS PTSA scholarship is designed to recognize CHS seniors who have demonstrated exceptional character through school and community involvement, including leadership and achievement in areas such as academics, the arts, athletics, employment, and service to the community.
To be eligible, you must be a full-time student attending CHS, have a student membership in the CHS PTSA, have demonstrated excellence in behavior and discipline during your high school career. For more information and to apply.

Do you know where to go to find needed resources in your area? Do you wish you could just plug your location into a website and immediately see options?
Fulton County Schools’ Office of Student Supports is helping launch a game-changing tool called Connect Fulton to all of Fulton County. Anyone - not only FCS students and employees but also parents and community members who live and/or work in Fulton County - can go to connectfulton.findhelp.com, enter their zip code, and access thousands of local, reduced-cost resources. Whether the need is for food, housing, financial, medical, clothing, job training, etc., many services and solutions are available.
Public Comment
Cambridge High School is able to opt-in to the Personal Education Course Replacement Waiver (commonly referred to as the Personal Fitness Waiver) for the next school year. At a meeting this week, your School Governance Council selected this waiver from the "Guidance for Opt-In/Opt-Out Waivers" link below. The School Governance Council is now initiating a 30-day public comment period to allow stakeholder feedback. Please complete the sections below if you wish to provide feedback on this waiver request. Public Comment closes on January 16, 2022.
