DCHHS launches vaccination scheduler
Due to the increasing supply of the COVID-19 vaccination, Dallas County Health and Human Services has transitioned from a wait-list to a vaccination scheduler. The scheduler allows for residents of Dallas County to schedule a same-day or next-day appointment at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center to receive the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination.
Appointments and/or preregistration are no longer required for residents age 55 and older when visiting Gates 2 and 10 at the Fair Park Community Vaccination Center.
Collins Road update
- Roundabout - all concrete has been poured! Permanent striping within the roundabout will be placed next week and all lanes that are currently closed are scheduled to be re-opened by Wednesday, April 21, weather permitting. Landscaping will be addressed after construction is complete.
- Southbound lanes - preparation for the final subgrade will begin in the next couple of weeks. Once complete, rebar will be formed and placed before the concrete can be poured. It is estimated that the main lane should be open to traffic within four to six weeks. Light poles, sidewalks, and landscape are in the works and will be addressed at a later date.
