Claires Court Bulletin

SIXTH FORM

FROM THE HEADS OF SIXTH FORM

Dear Parents,

The examinations period starts next week with language speaking tests and art controlled assessments. We wish all students success. They can take great confidence into their examinations following their consistent hard word during the academic year. Next Friday there will be an assembly for students to remind them of examination arrangements and we will send all parents a copy of the document they receive so that you can refer to it and support your son or daughter through this stressful time.

Best wishes,

Andy Giles

ROWING SUCCESS

Ollie Costley, Year 12, and Finlay Gronmark, Year 13, raced in the GB trials in Nottingham last weekend. Ollie had an excellent first race ranking 4th overall, and in the A/B semi finals he came 4th overall again, and the top J17 in the country. Finlay did not start so well but raced well in the C semi final ranking 13th overall.

On Sunday at the Hammersmith Amateur Regatta on the Tideway in London, The J18 eight of Sixth Formers rowed in the men's category and won by nearly a length to Auriol Kensington RC. The J18 double of Ben Smith and Jack Harris had a straight final and won to Emanuel School by half a length, and the second double also did well to reach the final but lost to City of Oxford RC.
