Ebeling’s Open House/Curriculum Night is Thursday, September 15th.
This year’s Curriculum Night is an informational evening for parents. This will be an opportunity for all parents to meet their child’s teacher and learn about the curriculum and policies of their classroom. We have scheduled multiple presentations to accommodate families with more than one child, or families who may need to meet more than one teacher due to teachers switching subjects. ]
The schedule for Curriculum Night is as follows:
6:05 - School Doors (Doors 1 and 9) open
6:20-6:40 -First Classroom Presentation
7:00-7:30 - Mrs. Bailey - Welcome and introductions in the gym
7:35-7:55 – Second Classroom Presentation (time may be adjusted based on welcome session in gym)
Please Note: Teachers will conduct the same presentation twice. Our special area teachers (Media Center, Phys Ed, Music, Science, Art) and Support Staff will also be available.

PICTURE DAY! - UPDATED
Our annual Picture Day is scheduled for September 21st. Kaiser Studio photographers will be here at school to take photos of all children for our yearbook; photo packages are available for purchase online at this site: www.Kaiserstudio.com. Once on the site, click on "Order Pictures" and enter our school code: 22EBELING23.
Virtual students may call the school office to set a time for their child's photo to be taken. Photographers will be available between 9:00-11:30 AM and 12:30-1:30 PM.
You may also purchase picture packages with cash (exact change) or check using the paper flyer that will be sent home with students next week. Note: Just as in previous years, yearbooks will be available for purchase in the Spring - yearbooks are not included in the picture packages. A flyer will go out to families at that time.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
The teachers and staff at Ebeling support the recognition of a child’s birthday during the school day - it is an annual milestone in every child’s life. While there are many wonderful and creative ways to celebrate a child’s birthday in school, birthday celebrations at Ebeling will not include food treats. Instead, the focus will be on recognizing the day in a variety of special ways that do not include food treats. Some possibilities include:
- · Class sings “Happy Birthday”
- · Happy Birthday Recess/Gift
- . Sticker/bracelet from Principal
- · Morning “Happy Birthday” PA announcement
- · Parent makes a donation of book to class library/read to class
- · Student reads favorite book to class
- · Non-Food treat bags for classmates
- · Parent/special someone reads story to class
We do not accept deliveries on behalf of students (balloons, flowers, food items) Parents may drop off a special lunch (for their child only, not the class) or choose to take their child out to lunch on their special day. Your child’s teacher will have more information on how birthdays will be celebrated in the classroom. As educators, caregivers and loved ones we all want the best for our students. Thank you for joining us in giving students healthy opportunities to celebrate important events and achievements.

SCHOOL VISITORS:
We are asking for your assistance to ensure that our security procedures during the school day are effective. As many of you know, our school has a security camera, intercom, and buzzer at the front main entrance for use during the school day. To help us assist you when you would like to enter the school:
1. Please press the buzzer to speak with someone in the office
2. You will be asked to state your name and reason for visiting
3. You will be asked to show your photo ID into the security camera above the outside door
4. Office staff will then be able to buzz you inside
5. All visitors must immediately register in the office
In addition, we are asking you to not let any visitors in the door as you enter (and they come up behind you) or as you exit the building.
The teachers and staff are committed to student safety and security and we would like to thank you for your assistance in helping keep the students of Ebeling safe.
