October - Counseling Office News

October Is Upon Us!

Hello there Dolphins! We hope everyone is doing well as October and cooler temperatures have finally come upon us!

I am really enjoying seeing our in-person Dolphins here at Donald and I am also enjoying popping into our virtual learning classrooms to see our Dolphins learning from home!

Please remember that I am here for you. Do not hesitate to give me a call at my direct office line above or send me an email, and I will reply as soon as I am available.

As always, it is an honor to serve as your school counselor!

Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free.

This year's Red Ribbon Week theme will help amplify the campaign's mission to encourage children, families and communities to live healthy, happy and drug-free lives. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery and strength. For more information, you can visit the Red Ribbon Website.

During October, all campuses across LISD will be celebrating being drug-free! Below are a few things that we are doing at Donald:

  • Weekly Red Ribbon lessons taught the entire month of October in classes.
  • Red Ribbon guidance lessons with Mrs. Mills.
  • “Ask the Expert” videos for parents (in Oct. newsletter)
  • Fun dress up days (see below)
