COVID - When to Stay Home - When to Come Back

There is still quite a bit of confusion on when you should keep your child home from school and when they return to school BLURB - file attached.

Halloween Parade

Halloween is in just 2 weeks! Our annual school parade will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29! Students will get into their costumes at 1:30 in their classrooms. They should not wear them to school! At 2:00 we will begin our parade train in the kindergarten room moving down through the grades and gathering students. We will end the parade train outside in front of the school entrance. Students will need to go back to their classes and dismissal will be as normal. Please remember that your student's costume needs to be nonviolent, appropriate for school and able to come off and on with little help. Again this year, teachers have coordinated their costumes and students will have an opportunity to guess what they are when celebrating and taking the school wide photo. Students will have an all school activity related to the staff costumes that will continue during the classrooms celebrations. If your child(ren) will have a change in their dismissal plans please make sure to send in a note so that we are not scrambling to make changes at the end of the day.

Old Town Hall Event

Trick or Treating on Halloween 10/31 from 4-6pm!

The grand unveiling of the web covered in all our spooky spiders will be on Halloween! On October 31st from 4-6pm, the Old Town Hall will be open for viewing the community web AND for trick or treating! Locals will be set up inside the OTH and ready to hand out candy to all the costumed kiddos who come through. We tried to plan this so that if you come on the early side, you can get to Randolph in plenty of time for downtown activities and more trick or treating.

Please note: both events will require that parents fill out waivers at the door, and that masks be worn.

Thanksgiving Meal

The OSSD Food Service Program will be preparing our Annual Thanksgiving feast for all schools on Thursday, November 18th.

Teachers are being asked to provide a count on the number of students who would like this meal no later than Monday, November 15. Please let your child's teacher or Ms. Lisa @ know if you would like to sign your child up for a Thanksgiving meal. All students that sign up will receive a Thanksgiving dinner at no cost.

This is the only meal that will be prepared on this day. We will not be offering an alternative lunch on this day (ie. pizza), so if your child is not interested in a Thanksgiving meal, please make sure they bring a lunch from home.

With COVID-19 restrictions we are asking that parents and relatives not attend this school year.

Fresh Turkey Roast, Homemade Gravy, Dinner Roll & Butter, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Milk, Dessert
