Remember to vote by February 8, 2022 – Critical levies on the ballot
Have you submitted your ballot? The Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy and Tech Levy are two important expiring levies up for renewal on the February 8 special elections ballot. These two levies provide critical funding for our district’s scholars and staff beyond what the state provides. These taxes are not new — FWPS local voters have consistently approved these levies throughout the years.
Here’s what is on the ballot:
EP&O Levy:
· Essential Staffing, including Counselors, College and Career Specialists, College and Career Specialists, Paraeducators, Custodians, Nurses, and Security.
· Services, including Special Education and English Language Services
· Activities, including Athletics, Music, and After School Programs
Tech Levy:
· Continued student access to technology
· Devices and professional development for teachers
· Infrastructure and software maintenance upgrades for the district to provide safe, secure learning environments
Please remember to vote by February 8, 2022! The deadline to register or update your registration online or by mail is January 31.For more information, visit www.fwps.org/Levies2022, email levy@fwps.org, or call 253-945-2000.
