INFANT SIMULATORS GOING HOME
Ms. Lobe's Child Development students have begun checking out 'infant simulators' (often nicknamed 'robot babies'). Students learn the basics of caring for infants before signing up to take a simulator doll home for 24 hours. The simulators are programmed to record if the caregiver missed a feeding, proper head support, missed diaper changes, changing of clothes, etc. with crying working as an alert something is needed. Each student will write a reflection on their experience after returning the simulator, and their grade depends both on the computer-generated report from the simulator doll and their reflection.
Due to COVID-19, the dolls are each given a thorough sanitation bath, clothes are washed, bottles sanitized, diaper bag and car seat sanitized, both before pickup and after drop off.
VIRTUAL HOMECOMING ASSEMBLY SUCCESS
A HUGE congratulations and thank you to our ASB Leaders for their amazing work in creating a live, interactive, virtual Homecoming Assembly. It was a wonderful way to finish the Halloween Homecoming Spirit Week! Stay tuned for the Homecoming Court video currently in production!
THAT'S A WRAP!
The Mystery of Custodia: an Online Musical has wrapped rehearsals and video recording is complete. The raw video is in the hand of the editors and the final performance presentation will be available on our BHS YouTube channel on Thanksgiving day.
UPDATE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS
Our current distance-learning program means more paperwork is sent home while it can't be handed out in-person. The school has recently received a large amount of returned mail - including the custom "Class of 2021" masks - due to incorrect addresses.
Checking your address is easy using Skyward Family Access!
- In Family Access, select “Student Info” to view your family information.
- If you would like to change your email address or phone number, select “Request Changes for [student name]”, then “Family Information”.
- Please call the main office at 360-473-0800 or email Alaina.Queen@bremertonschools.org if you need to update your physical or mailing address.
