Your child should arrive on campus between 8:15am and 8:30am and report to the front office. He/She should bring lunch, water bottle, and, if desired, a snack. You may pick your child up from the front office between 11:45 and 12:00.
Please view the informational letter sent via Skyward Family Access on October 26th for more information about CogAT.

Thank You for Helping Us Celebrate our Campus Diversity!
The Rountree Diversity & Inclusion Committee thanks you for helping to highlight the various cultures and traditions within our Rountree family! We appreciate you helping us to build our culture quilt and video collection!
Empathy: Character Trait of the Month of December
During December, teachers will be looking for students who demonstrate empathy towards others. This could look like listening patiently without interruption, showing warmth in your eyes, body posture and non-verbal gestures, letting others go first, helping another student who dropped supplies, including others at recess.
Don’t Forget -- at the end of each month, we will recognize and reward the positive behaviors we are seeing at Rountree. All students, both At-School and At-Home learners, have the opportunity each month to earn a certificate and have their picture made with our Principal to go on our “Wall of Fame.”
We will WEAR GREEN on Tuesday, December 1st, for Empathy.

Education through Diversity - December 7, 1941
December 7, 1941, also known as the Day of Infamy, is when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, bringing the United States into World War II. December 7th was given this name by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in his speech to Congress the next day, asking for a declaration of war on Japan.
Here are some unknown, unsung heroes of that day:
Mr. Doris Miller (Cook third class) fired a machine gun at attacking fighters and delivered ammunition to other “gunners.”
Annie G. Fox (First Lieutenant/Head Nurse) worked ceaselessly to care for the wounded. She even taught civilians and other survivors how to dress wounds so as many people as possible could be saved!
Updates for 2021-2022 Academic Year
Beginning with the 2021-2022 academic year, Allen ISD will replace “Pre-AP/Pre-IB” with “Advanced” in any and all courses currently carrying the Pre-AP naming convention. This will affect courses for grades 6-12 at all Allen ISD campuses. This change is due to a new College Board policy, which requires districts to purchase their newly created “Official Pre-AP” curriculum in order to use the Pre-AP nomenclature in course titles. Allen ISD will not be purchasing this new curriculum. Please be assured all newly-named Advanced courses will continue to be taught at a high level of rigor utilizing the district-designed curriculum currently in place. Advanced courses in grades 9-12 will still carry a 4.5 GPA weight.
The district will continue to offer the full spectrum of Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses it currently does. AP course names and content are dictated by the College Board, so changing the name of Pre-AP courses to Advanced courses will not have an effect on AP course offerings. Similarly, IB courses will not be affected by this change as the International Baccalaureate Organization does not use the term “Pre-IB” in its course naming conventions.
Updates to the course names will be reflected in the 2021-2022 Academic Planning Guide and course selection forms. For more information, please see the Pre-AP Name Change FAQs document.
