The students will be finishing the unit on Chemistry with the nine weeks test on Tuesday. They will also have assignments on both USA Test Prep and Study Island this week. Please help me to encourage the students to make up any missing assignments.
Friday is a half day for students!
Math - Mr. Smith
7th grade math students are working on solving more advanced equations. We are basically putting together the pieces of operations with rational numbers, and simplifying expressions with equation solving. This material is in chapter 7 of their textbook and we have done a lot of practice in class. Students will have a test on chapter 7 (everything but inequalities) on Wednesday next week. We will pick up the inequality portion and the on-line Illuminate test when we return from holiday. Merry Christmas!
Friday, December 16th will be Ugly Christmas Sweater Day for all of ACTS!
Social Studies - Mr. Creswell
We made some information plates this week. Students were told to pick any thing we had studied about so far, and illustrate it on their plates. I was impressed with the topics they choose.
We will continue to study about Imperialism next week. There may be a quiz, but that will be determined by how many disruptions we have to our schedule. I want to wish all my students and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Voice - Mrs. Fennell
7th Grade Voice Rotation
Great job at the Festival of Trees! On Friday, we will sing one piece for an ACTS Christmas assembly. We have been studying vocal anatomy and vocal health. Be ready for a short assignment on Tuesday.
Art - Ms. Pridmore
7th grade Focus will have a White Elephant gift exchange on Thursday, December 15th. Students who want to participate are asked to bring a $5-$10 wrapped gift. Students are welcomed to bring a snack for the class to share for our party on the 15th.
