Blackman Elementary School Celebrates Career Week
Thank you Mr. Russell and Mrs. Klopp for all your hard work to coordinate this year's Career Week. Students enjoyed the dress up days, as well as the Friday Career Expo. Students in Grades 3-5 were especially excited to participate in the Career Interviews with local celebrities. It was exciting to hear from WKRN's Chief Meteorologist, Danielle Breezy, WSMV's Sports Anaylyst, Joe Dubin and Forestry Technician, Rob McVay.
Thank you to all our community volunteers as well as our parents who gave of their time to help us celebrate Career Week!
Tennessee History Poster Contest for 5th Grade
Thank you to each of our Fourth Grade Students that participated in the Tennessee History Poster Contest sponsored by the Colonel Hardy Murfree Chapter, DAR. Ms. Felicia Hix, Regent came on May 9, 2017 and presented awards to our winners:

2nd Place - Nylah Bloomfield
3rd Place - Mitchell Coons

Congratulations to all our students who presented art in the Rutherford County Art Show
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Rutherford County Art Show, sponsored by the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts. The show includes all Rutherford County Schools, as well as Murfreesboro City Schools. the following Blackman Elementary School Students had work in the show:

Wee Deliver Celebrates their Hard Work with Tour to the Murfreesboro Post Office
Thank you to our Wee Deliver staff who have worked all year to make sure the BLE student mail is correctly delivered. We celebrated their hard work with a tour of the Murfreesboro Post Office and a stop at Sonic for a treat.
Summer Resources
We hope that each of you will take some time over the summer to visit websites that are located on our website. Students will have access to Moby Max, helping them to keep up with the skills they have mastered this school year. Please also take some time to visit the Linebaugh Library.
