Meadow Brook Magic
Week 23: January 28th-February 8th
Mighty Mustang Students-of-the-Month
Mustang Monday Message
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
This morning you should have received an e-mail from the district with a stakeholder survey. As a school, we are always seeking to improve communication and responsiveness to our stakeholders. To that end, we invite students and parents to give feedback to teachers and administrators. The survey will remain open until Feb 22nd. Third through sixth grade students will be invited to participate in this survey during computer class; if your kindergarten through second grade student would like to give us feedback, we would encourage you to help them with this at home. The purpose of this feedback is to celebrate what we are doing well, help us improve our instruction, and to keep our finger on the pulse of our patrons. For feedback to be most helpful, I would suggest being polite even when sharing intensely positive or negative feelings. Thank you for your feedback.
The school and PTA each hold one fundraiser per year (the PTA's fundraiser this year was the pizza). As a school we will be holding a Reading-Round-Up Fundraiser from February 18th-March 1st to celebrate reading and to raise funds to increase books in our leveled library (which teachers use with their reading groups) and technology programs to enhance student learning. On February 18th-February 22nd students will collect pledges for the number of minutes they will read during the week of Feb 24th-March 1st; during this week, several reading activities will be held to get the students excited about reading. See the calendar below for a list of events. An assembly will be held on Friday, Feb 15th for the students to learn more about the fundraiser.
For those interested, we have 15 spots available in our after-school robotics club. To sign up, see the information below.
Warmest Wishes,
Miss Balli

Pie in Miss Balli's Face?!?!
Our current total (as of what was picked up on January 31st) is 2653 box tops.
Our school goal (adding up to just 6 box tops/student) is 4000. The deadline to reach the 4000 - in order to see Miss Balli get a pie in her face - is February 11th. That's just one week away!! If we continue at the rate we have been going (250-400 box tops every 9 days on average), Miss Balli's face is safe from pie!!
Remember that if the box top is expired, no need to turn it in. They will not count toward our school total.
---Thanks. Jennifer
