Above and Beyond
Each week, we like to acknowledge staff members and supporters who go above and beyond their call of duty for PJSHS. Please help us appreciate our AP teachers for the extra time they are putting out to prepare our AP students for their upcoming testing dates. One more reason that we love our teachers!

High School Scholars Program Deadline May 12th
The High School Scholars program will once again be offered to qualifying students at PHS by Chico State. This is an amazing program that allows next year's high school juniors and seniors to take CSU Chico classes that aren’t at full capacity. They are college classes and you receive college credits, guaranteed transferable to any CSU (and accepted at most other universities. The CSU system can just guarantee the smooth transfer of units within their system). They are available at an unbelievable discount. It’s seriously an amazing deal. Up to two CLASSES - not units, but CLASSES - for $110 total (vs $396/unit x 3 units $1188/class x 2 classes = $2376!!) However, you MUST register now for the required virtual info session that will be held on May 12th and you must understand that this is a commitment. It will show up on future transcripts, so you don’t want to flake halfway through. Be careful when looking through the catalog; since you live a few hours from Chico, you don’t want to choose a class where you have to show up to class twice a week. Be sure you’re viewing online classes. You’ll get lots of info at the May meeting. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions before then.
