Congratulations to our Holiday Card Contest winners!
We're so excited to announce our 2022 Holiday Card Contest winners! In first place, we have Shaleya, a student at George Washington High School. In second place, we have Stasia, a student at Schoolfield Elementary School. We would like to thank everyone for their beautiful and creative entries. Congratulations to our winning artists!
Johnson's Greater Gator Choir performs at Christmas with the Celts
On Thursday, December 8, the Greater Gator Choir performed with Christmas in the Celts in the George Washington High School Auditorium. The choir sang two songs in the group's holiday performance. We're so proud of these Gators!

Park Avenue represented at the Community Light Show in Ballou Park
From now until December 23, the annual Community Light Show will be taking place at Ballou Park (760 West Main Street). Park Avenue (site 40) has a light display this year! Their "glowing" banner was designed by their afterschool enrichment students.
The Community Light Show is open daily through December 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission to the show is $10 per car and $20 per mini-bus/15-passenger van.
Second Annual Black History Month Essay Contest
DPS is holding its Second Annual Black History Month Essay Contest this year! We are now taking submissions for the contest from all DPS students grades K-12. For more details on this contest, please use the QR code or the following link: https://bit.ly/2223bhmessay. Submissions are due by January 31, 2023.
Reminder: your student can earn money for completing tutoring hours!
Now through March 31, 2023, students who complete five hours of tutoring on FEV Tutor by March 31 will earn an Amazon gift card! As a reminder, FEV Tutor is a completely FREE, 24-hour online tutoring service that allows students to get help on specific topics they are struggling with. Students can take advantage of "on-demand" sessions when they need them, or schedule sessions with a tutor. FEV Tutor is accessed through students' Single Sign On portals.
