Atlanta Public Schools District and Regional Science and Engineering Fair 2015
Theme: "Exploring the Possibilities"
Students grades K-12 have worked hard preparing for the Atlanta Public Schools 2015 District and Regional Science and Engineering Fair. We are elated that there are over 230 projects registered for this year's fair. Instructional Coaches, teachers, parents, Department Chairs, and others are to be commended for the support shown to students.
District and Regional Fair Dates:
January 27, 2015- Elementary Division (K-5) -(8:00a.m.-3:00p.m.)
January 28, 2015- Secondary Division (6-12)- (8:00a.m.-3:00p.m.)
January 29, 2015- Run-Off (6-12)-(8:00a.m.-12:00p.m.)
Protocol Forms
To complete the registration process, protocol forms should be updated with a research plan attached. Protocol forms should be submitted to Science Fair coordinators at each individual school. All forms must be original and filled out correctly. Winners of the fair will advance to the Georgia Science and Engineering fair held March 26-28 in Athens Georgia. Students participating in the Elementary division are not eligible to participate in the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF). Also, three of our top winners will advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair However, elementary division students will recieve additional recognition from the Atlanta Science Festival.

Project Set Up Dates:
The science fair committee will be available for project set up prior to the day of the fair. See below the schedule for setting up projects.
Elementary Division- January 26, 2015 @ Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy (4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.)
Secondary Division- January 27, 2015 @ Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy (4:00 to 6:00p.m.)
Prohibited Items
All projects must be free from hazardous biological agents such as bodily fluids, chemicals, microorganisms, etc. Projects displaying potentially dangerous hazards will be removed from the display.
Transportation and Supervision
Parents are responsible for the transportation of students to and from the fair. Students must be accompanied by the science fair chair from the school or the sponsoring teacher. Students will not be able to be dropped off for the event.
