A Note from Ms. Davis
Dear Families,
As our first semester comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on our accomplishments. Our students are well on their way to mastering their standards. They have participated in reading challenges, completed computer science tasks, written narratives, worked on math fact fluency, and investigated several science and social studies topics. Our playground has gotten a major facelift with a new swing set, a safe border, and a new ground cover of 6 inches of recycled rubber mulch!
Our PTO has helped raise funds for these projects through our Eagle Dash Fun Run, Cherrydale sales, and Kona Ice. Through BoxTops for Education, our school receives 10 cents for every coupon turned in. We have participated in several community service projects including a canned food drive, art competitions, and a fantastic Veterans' Day program.
Our computer science academy's advisory council has begun its work. Over the next few weeks, they will help develop the defining characteristics and help provide the focus for the next few years.
I am looking forward to a wonderful second semester. I absolutely love being at AES every day. I've enjoyed getting to know your kids and this very talented staff. I am honored to spend my days here. Thank you for your support.
If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to call or come by.
Sincerely,
Cindy Davis,
Principal
