Fall Celebrations

At Croce, we respect and accept students from all backgrounds and we recognize that not all families celebrate Halloween. On Friday, October 29, students who do not celebrate, or want to participate in the Costume Parade are invited to gather in the library until the parade ends.

We would like all students to return to their classrooms for the remainder of the day. Instruction will continue as usual and some classrooms may be holding Fall Celebrations. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you need more information.

October 29 Parade

Our annual parade will begin at 8:45 a.m. on the blacktop. For this event only, parents will be allowed to enter through the gates at Crestmont, Mt. Hamilton, and the front parking lot to assemble on the blacktop. You will be standing behind the cones/caution tape to view the parade. Please do not cross into the parade path.

Masks are strongly encouraged for our visitors as this will be a rather large gathering.

At the conclusion of the parade, our fourth and fifth grade students will return to the playground for a special dance. So, stick around if you want to see your child perform!

Trunk or Treat

Join the fun on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m! Cheetahs and their families are invited to walk-through the Croce parking lot to view the trunks. Costumes are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Candy will be provided by the Leo Croce PTA and will be distributed only upon exiting the Trunk or Treat.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 to honor a fallen police officer. Since its inception it has grown from a drug prevention awareness program to one that includes the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and making smart choices. At Croce, we participate in a number of activities, such as the tying of red ribbons, spirit days, poster making, and class discussions (depending on grade level) to understand how the use of alcohol and drugs can affect family, education, friendships, the ability to participate in extracurricular activities, etc.

Rainy days are on the way! We know the weather, like everything else, is highly unpredictable. Consider storing a small umbrella in your child's backpack and at the very least make sure they are dressed appropriately for cold and/or wet weather. While the students will not be outside for recess in the rain, an umbrella may be needed while they wait for you at pick-up.

To create a safer drop-off situation, on rainy days drop offs will occur in the front parking lot. Please use the same parking lot entrance. Cones will guide you in the right direction.

Students who arrive prior to the 8:27 a.m. bell will proceed directly to the MPR where they will take a seat until dismissed to the classrooms.

Bell Schedule

Attendance is taken in the classrooms by 8:45 a.m and students arriving to the classroom after 8:30 a.m. are tardy. Please make every effort to arrive on campus by 8:27 a.m. which will allow your child enough time to get to the classroom before the final bell.

A Little Competition Among Friends!

It’s pizza time! For the next 4 weeks, the PTA is selling Pizza Kits to raise money so we can help the teacher's buy more school supplies for the students! To reach our goal and be successful, we need everyone’s help. It’s super easy to join the fun!

Use this link to register, customize your page, upload a video, create an avatar, and watch how many pizza kits you’ve sold. Send your special link (generated when you register) to your friends and family so they can buy delicious pizza kits and support our fundraiser. Pizza Kits will be delivered directly to their home by FedEx, so send the link to your out of state family and friends, too. You can even post your Seller link on your social media pages.

Every kit we sell earns $6 profit and makes an impact. The class that sells the most will win a PIZZA PARTY! Don’t forget to buy some for yourself!

Let's make it a virtual party, too by using a hashtag to see how we're doing! The student that has the most hashtags: #CroceLittleCaesarsParty21 wins ice cream for them plus a friend! (Please remember to direct message the Leo Croce PTA Instagram with your hashtags if your Instagram is private.)

Let the pizza games begin!
