From School Administration

It is hard to believe June is just a few days away. Without a doubt, this has been quite an uncommon period of time! Thank you for your continued support! We have a few more weeks of online learning before our final day of school for the 2019-20 School Year. The State Board of Education voted to accept HCPSS waiver requests; therefore, we can share that the official last day of school is June 23rd. I am very proud of our students, teachers, staff, and parents as everyone adjusted to the new routines of distance learning. Teachers, administrators, and members of our student services team continue to monitor student progress. One area of feedback we need students and parents to double-check is the Canvas submit button process. That is a two-step process when submitting and confirming assignments completion for science, social studies, health, art, music, media, technology, and PE. Teachers and/or administrators will reach out to students and parents by email if that process is incomplete.


As we start to wind down the school year, it is very important for us to have the most accurate information about your residency. If you have moved or are planning on moving, please find the section below about what you need to do to notify us of your change in residency.


If you have a new neighbor with elementary-aged students, please have the new family contact Mrs. Aballo at jennifer_aballo@hcpss.org in order to start the online registration process for next year.

5th Grade Farewell Ceremony

We are in the final stages of planning for the 5th Grade Farewell Ceremony. Please be on the lookout for information from the 5th grade team. We are looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our 5th graders!

CCES Student Item Pick Up/Drop Off Request

We recognize that when our students left CCES on March 13th, various personal items may have been left behind. Since then, we have received a few requests from families inquiring how these items can be retrieved. HCPSS has developed protocols for our staff, families, and students to follow in order to retrieve high priority items from the school. If, after reviewing the information below, you would like to request to pick up a high priority item from Clemens Crossing or you will need to return school system property due to your child(ren) not attending any HCPSS school for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete our CCES Student Item Pick Up/Drop Off Request form by Wednesday, June 3rd. Please note that students and families will not be allowed access to HCPSS buildings, and our staff will be retrieving these high priority items for families to pick up. Once we have received all requests, we will finalize our plan and communicate it with our community. As of now, we do not have a plan to collect items from students who are returning to CCES (library books, borrowed Chromebooks, textbooks, etc.). Our first priority is the request form below. As our planning proceeds, we will notify you. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me at ecosentino@hcpss.org with any questions or if we can be of service. Columbia Community Care

If you are in need and have NO transportation to one of our five sites*, you may order home delivery through this form. Please note that delivery will take between 10-15 days.

If you are in urgent need and have transportation, we encourage you to visit one of our sites for faster service. If you have any questions, please email columbiacommunitycare@gmail.com.

We are available to assist you with transitioning to your child's new school. Whether it be another HCPSS school, private school, or to a school out of the HCPSS district, we are here to help. If you are transferring to another HCPSS school, our registrars will partner to make the transition as smooth as possible.


If you have an address change, please fill out the attached fillable Address Change Form and email it back to us with your new deed or lease. This way we can electronically verify your school district and update your new address on file. If you have any questions, contact our registrar, Jennifer Aballo: jennifer_aballo@hcpss.org

Device Return Procedures

If you no longer need an HCPSS issued device, please email Mrs. Marshall at christy_marshall@hcpss.org. She will process your request and give you more instructions.
  • Parents/guardians of new incoming students and those entering Kindergarten next school year (who are not already enrolled) are able to begin the enrollment process online.

    While following the online enrollment guide, you will be prompted to create an account for ParentVue through Online Registration Account Access, if you don't already have one for an existing HCPSS student. You can prepare to upload the required registration documents at this point.

    *Notice during this time (Covid-19 school closure), the final step 5 of the registration guide has changed. Your child’s school registrar will contact you to schedule a virtual meeting (e.g., online Google Meet) to complete the registration process. During this virtual meeting, you will be asked to verify guardianship of the child and submit any additional required documentation.
