WELCOME NEW STAFF!
Ms. Heather Semmes - Kindergarten I am returning to Julian Curtiss after completing my Masters at Teachers College, Columbia University. I spent time as a first grade teacher in Stamford Public Schools and worked as a literacy specialist in New York. I am excited to be back at Julian Curtiss as a member of the Kindergarten team! | Ms. Emily Peters - Psychologist Hello, JC! I am so excited to work with you this year as the full-time School Psychologist! This is my second year working in Greenwich; I spent last year as the full-time Psychology Intern at Eastern Middle School. I earned my Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees at Columbia University’s Teachers College, where I was on a dual certification track for School Psychology and BCBA. I earned my Bachelors degree from Boston University. Prior to Greenwich, I worked for the NYC department of education, Mount Sinai, and the Yale Child Study Center. In my free time, I love to ski, rock climb, hike, and teach yoga classes. I have a puppy labrador retriever named Paolo. I am thrilled that I get to work with you and your children this year. I can’t wait to meet you! | Ms. Chelsea Sciaretta - ALP I am overjoyed to be returning to Julian Curtiss and joining the ALP Department this year. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University and completed both my internship and student teaching at JC. During that time I was in and out of every classroom which helped me connect to our students and school community. I returned last year to teach first grade both in the classroom and remotely! This will be my fourth school year at Julian Curtiss and I am thrilled to return to familiar faces and have the pleasure of meeting new ones. I’m looking forward to meeting you and working together to ensure success for your children! |

Ms. Morgan Gedney - Special Education This will be my second year working at JC and I cannot wait! I originally started as a building substitute in 2018 at JC and then completed several LTS positions within the district until I found my way back to JC! I took over the LTS special education position at JC as of December 2019 and finished off the year in this position through distance learning. I received my certifications in Early Childhood Education and Special Education at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. I enjoy spending my free time being outside, traveling, or playing with my four dogs Macey, Bailey, Gracie, and Scout! I look forward to another wonderful experience with the JC team and getting to work with incredible students. | Theresa McIntosh - School Nurse I am so excited to be a part of the Julian Curtiss community. I have been a substitute school nurse in the district for the last year and also come to you from Greenwich Hospital where I have been working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I live in Fairfield with my husband Dave, and we have three daughters, Maeghan, Tess, and Peyton. I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet many of you during pick-ups this week and I look forward to getting to know everyone this fall. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am always here to help. Have a safe and healthy summer! |
