From Edutopia: The Value of a Camera-Optional Policy

FREE Virtual Field Trips and Tours
A virtual tour is a simulated visit around an existing location, like a museum. They are usually composed of a series of videos or still images. They can also consist of other multimedia elements like sound effects, music, narration, and text, etc.
Make the best of a virtual field trip by using the quick before, during and after for planning:
Before the visit: What do you hope to achieve with this visit?
During the visit: What items do you want to highlight during the visit?
After the visit: What did you take away from the visit?

This is an online event.
MORE INFORMATION
The beginning of every school year is usually a flurry of activity as educators set up and decorate their learning space. This year many of us are managing physical and/ or virtual space. This is enough to make even the most seasoned veteran educator feel like a first year teacher all over again but it doesn't have to! The structure, organization and routines that drive our traditional classrooms still have a place in our new digital classrooms. Let's talk about some of the ways we can provide a variety of necessary supports to ensure that the process of teaching and learning is clear and accessible for everyone involved. Does technology intimidate you, terrify or overwhelm you? Join the club. Many of us are "tech-hesitant" because we are still learning things that seem natural to many of our peers and co-workers. In this session, participants will explore a sampling of basic skills selected to help make managing the demands of blended and virtual learning easier and more efficient. If you think in terms of thingamabobs and doohickeys, this is a safe place for you to ask your technology questions. Together we will explore, practice and create to help build your digital tool box!
