TASPA WILL NOT TOLERATE BULLYING

Big picture
Parents please be sure that your child/children are aware of what bullying sounds and looks like. At TASPA, BULLYING plays NO part in our success.

Please let your child/children know that if they experience bullying or their peers being bullied please report it immediately.

Students are expected to come to school each and everyday to learn and feel safe and secure.

If you feel that your child is being bullied please do not hesitate to reach out to the administration, Mrs. Taylor-Maye or Mr. Albritton.

Parents please note that if students are found to be bullying others they will receive the highest consequence based on the TCS code of conduct.

Parents,

It is critical that students attend school every day. If your child is going to be absent, please send a note. Please note that you have 5 parent excuses per year. Once those are used, a doctor's note will be required. If that is not provided, they will count as unexcused absences.

If you have any questions about attendance, check-ins, and/or tardies, please contact our front office at 205-759-3564.

Just a reminder our school day begins at 7:55 and concludes at 2:40. If your child arrives to school after 7:55 a.m., a parent, guardian, or whoever brought the child to school MUST sign them in at the front office.

The Tuscaloosa City Schools district goal is 95% or above for the average daily attendance rate.

Let's increase our numbers by ensuring that ALL students are in school each and everyday!

Arrival and Dismissal Updates

Big picture

Parents will no longer be allowed to drop off in the parking lot during morning arrival or park to pick students in the afternoon

Let's work together ensure our dismissal process remains SAFE and QUICK. If your child is a car rider, you must pick him/her up through the carpool line. We will not allow parents to walk up and pick up students assigned as car riders. To help us get you in and out of the carpool lane quickly, please remember your carpool tag. Complete the car tag with the name (first and last) and grade level of each child riding with you and place the tag on your dash near the windshield (on the passenger side) upon arriving on campus. We appreciate your assistance in keeping our TASPA Stars safe! BOTH LANES ARE OPEN FOR MORNING DROP OFF AND AFTERNOON PICK UP.

THANK YOU,

TASPA ADMINISTRATION

RELATIONSHIPS ARE IMPORTANT HERE AT TASPA

Big picture

Even from a distance, the relationships must be established before highly effective learning can take place. We need to have a strong rapport with each student we serve. Our student's parents must be connected to the classrooms with regular and ongoing communication. Parents, please feel free to reach out to our administration, faculty, and/or staff with any questions you may have. Our number one priority here at TASPA is to be sure your child's needs are being met when it pertains to a safe & nurturing learning environment.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Taylor-Maye
