The Cyber Beat
WCASD K-5 Cyber, October 8, 2021
We had a great turnout at the K-5 Welcome Back Gathering! It was so great to see the students making new friends...even some of our parents/guardians made some new friends too! We look forward to more community events, as well as class events throughout the school year to continue to develop our community.
Save the date - on November 1st at Greystone Elementary School on one of the fields, our K-5 students will enjoy a little Fall Fun! Our teachers are planning a K-2 and 3-5 event. We will allow students to dress up and have a mini parade. Also, the homeroom parents are working closely with the teachers to facilitate the activities at this event. Huge thank you to our wonderful homeroom parents, we appreciate all you are doing to make this fun for our students! More information coming soon from your child's teacher!
Cyber Curriculum Materials: At this point, most of our families have picked up their child's cyber curriculum bag. If you have not done so yet, please email your child's teacher to notify her. Also, if you find you are missing items, please let your child's teacher know. We will work together with the home school to make sure all students have what they need to be successful.

WCASD COUNSELING & MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS SERVICE GUIDE
We recognize that our students may feel a variety of feelings during this time. Please know that one of our main goals is to help your children feel connected to their cyber classroom and the cyber experience. Our district has a Counseling and Mental Health Professionals Service Guide to provide supports and resources if your child is having a difficult time. Additionally, each of the home school guidance counselors are available to support our cyber students. If you have any concerns, you can share those with your child's cyber teacher and he/she will reach out to your child's home school guidance counselor to discuss how we can best support your child.
This guide provides Counselor and Mental Health Professionals' contact information, services, important forms, and additional resources for parents of students Kindergarten through 12th grade.
K-5 Cyber Family Handbook - PLEASE READ!
Please spend a few minutes reading the K-5 Cyber Handbook. There is a lot of information in this handbook that I think will answer many of your questions – such as how much synchronous versus asynchronous, expectations of a learning coach, technology help, vacation request form, and more!
Need Help - Where do I go?
Need your child's username and password to log in to Seesaw or Schoology? Please contact your child's home school's main office as they have this information.
