Driving Question: How can we, as structural engineers, construct a two-story house in California for Tony Stark that will withstand seismic activity?
We worked in groups to create a house fit for Tony Stark that would withstand an earthquake. The house had to be made out of straws, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, clay, and string. I was in a group with Cassidy, who was the project manager; Lauren, who was the supplies manager; and Joleen and Krysten, the lead builders and testers. I was photographer (which is the reason why I didn't appear in many pictures ;) )

Atmosphere 30 Hands Project
The 30 Hands project was done using the app, 30 Hands. Using this app, we created a slideshow telling about the atmosphere and some effects of global warming and climate change. The embeded link below has my 30 Hands project on for display! I really enjoyed learning about the atmosphere more because I actually found out how we are hurting the environment.
Reuse, Reduce, Recycle Invention Convention
The problem that our invention solved was too much waste in our landfills. This waste can cause environmental problems, because they can't be decomposed into the soil, and burning them would pollute the environment. The Waterproof Trash Decomposer eliminates landfill waste by picking up squares of waste and depositing them into pre-dug holes. Slowly, the trash on land won't affect us as much because it will be out of the way.
This is a picture of our final invention. We used soda cans, kabob sticks, paper, and cardboard.
This is the rubric for the Invention Convention Project.
