Parent Information Night
Thank you so much for coming to Parent Night if you were able! If you couldn't come, I sent the packet of information home with your child on Wednesday. Please sign and return paperwork Monday.
Math Facts
The kids are doing a fantastic job on their math fact lists! There are 25 lists in all, so try to have your child practice a little here and there. When they can successfully do all of the facts on the list in less than 45 seconds, sign it for him/her to be tested. Mastering these lists will help them SO much when we move on to multiplication and division problem solving.
Spelling Tests
We took our first spelling test today. Be sure your child studies his/her 7 words each night until he/she knows them. I also give a dictated sentence using words from the first 7 words on the list, along with some common third grade words. The capitalization and ending punctuation each count as a point too. Overall we did a great job on the first one. :)
Microwave in the Lunchroom
There is a microwave in the lunchroom for students that need to reheat leftovers in their lunch boxes. Some kids are bringing in frozen meals that take several minutes to cook. Mr. Wynn has asked that if your child needs the microwave, you consider sending something that will take less than a minute to heat up so that all students will have a chance to use it before the lunch period is over.
