June 2021

Message from the Principal

We are excited to have some of the traditional spring celebrations coming back in the final weeks of school.

Our 5th-grade students have invested 6 years of learning and grown so much from the time they started in kindergarten with us. School is a 13-year journey for most students it is so important to celebrate each step students make to graduation. We are excited to celebrate with students and families the last day of school for the 2020-2021 school year on Wednesday, June 16th.

Mark your calendars for the 1st day of school on September 8th. We are looking forward to being able to support your child's learning journey and have so much fun planned for next year.

We have so much to celebrate because of your support and collaboration with us to keep accelerating student learning.

Egg Drop Day - Tuesday, June 15th

Every year our students try to create a contraption that will protect a raw egg when it is dropped 25 feet from a bucket truck. Bring a student-made container/armor that has a raw egg inside and is ready to withstand the drop. Put your student's name on the container. Everything will be thrown away afterwards. If your egg does not break, you have met the challenge.

Everyone will get a certificate, either for a cracked egg or one that withstood the drop!

Returning Chromebooks at End of the Year

All 5th graders need to turn in their chromebooks. All Kinder-4th graders that will be leaving Lackamas will need to return their chromebooks at the end of the year. We will collect chromebooks during the drive-thru on the last day of school, but if you are unable to attend, please return your chromebook prior to the last day.
