FTMSE Attendance Information
Attendance Line 317-803-8190
If your student will be absent, please call the Attendance Line at 317-803-8190.
UPDATED POLICY-If you are picking up your student from school, you must enter the Main Office before we send a pass for the student. Please do not call ahead of time, we can no longer send a pass early. We want to make sure students are spending as much time as possible in the classroom.
If your student will miss more than one day due to a vacation, attending camp, going out of town for tournaments, etc., please email our Principal, Matt Vandermark at matt.vandermark@ftcsc.org, giving the student’s name, reason for absence and dates student will miss school. The student will then be called to the office and receive a form to have their teachers sign so they can receive make up work. The student will then turn that form in to the Main Office before the absence begins.
If your student goes to a Doctors appointment, please bring a Dr. note/return to school note if you want the absence marked as Medical.

News from the Nurse
The Marion County Public Health Department provides state mandated vision screening services for all students in first, third, fifth and eighth grades. We also screen any new students who have transferred into Marion county from other counties or from out of state, and any student suspected of having vision problems. We will be at FTMS-East November 15th and 16th , 2018.
You, as the parent or legal guardian, have the right to decline this service for your child. If you do not want the Marion County Public Health Department to conduct a vision screening on your child, please complete the bottom half of this letter and return it to the school. This letter will be copied and kept on file at the school as well as with the MCPHD screening staff.
