Bobcat Connection
Learning. Growing. Collaborating & Achieving @KrumHighSchool
October 8, 2019
Greetings KHS Family!
Ah, autumn has arrived! The cooler temperatures are certainly welcomed after our hot summer. Our extracurricular activities are in full swing, and our students are adjusting to the new bell schedule. On behalf of the faculty and staff, thank you for your support during the start of the school year. (It's hard to believe that Thursday marks the end of our first grading period.)
As you are aware, our faculty and staff are challenging students to think critically and prepare for their post-secondary futures. Our district’s curriculum is specifically designed to boost student cognitive aptitudes. Please expect homework every night as we build vocabulary, as well as college and career readiness skills. In addition to parent portal and the Krum ISD website, Krum High School has social media accounts to stay connected with all stakeholders. If you have not already done so, you can like the Krum High School Facebook page; and you can follow Krum High School on Twitter. We will try to keep these sources updated with timely and pertinent information.
During the month of October, we will focus on safe, healthy, and positive choices. During Red Ribbon week, we will bring awareness to mind-altering substances such as drugs and alcohol. Although college and career readiness is imperative, we must not forget the importance of socialization and making positive choices.
Again, thank you for your support during the first grading period. We view ourselves as partners in your student’s education. Please help us to continue to keep the lines of communication open. If you have any questions, concerns, compliments, or suggestions, we encourage you to let us hear from you.
Go BOBCATS!!
