On behalf of the staff at University Park Elementary, we want to wish every one of you a wonderful holiday season and a restful winter break. Please note that this week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, are early release days. Dismissal will be at 2:00 PM. The last day before break is Wednesday, December 21st. Our front office will be closed during break and we look forward to welcoming back our students on January 5th!

VPK through 6th Grade: STAR and FAST Test Coming Up!
Parents, please be on the look out for a letter to be sent home on Wednesday this week!
VPK-2nd Grade will take the mid-year STAR assessment on Tuesday, January 10th, and Wednesday, January 11th.
3rd-6th Grade will take the mid-year FAST assessment on Tuesday, January 17th, and Wednesday, January 18th.
Important Information:
1. Students arrive at school by 7:45 am. The test starts first thing in the morning.
2. Students should eat a good breakfast, either at school or at home. School breakfast is served from 7:15 am-7:45 am. Students should be in class at 7:45 am.
3. Cell phones and smart watches will be collected during the test as students cannot have cell phones or smart watches on them or anywhere near them.
4. Please encourage your student to do his/her best. They took this test at the beginning of the school year, will take it in January to see how much the students have learned, and will take it again in May. This test replaces the Florida State Assessment (FSA).
Parents will receive a parent report of their student's results within 10 days of the student completing the test.
