Freshmen: 9GA Pathway Tours

On Monday and Tuesday next week, 9th grade students will be visiting RHS to learn more about their Top 4 pathway choices. Later in the week, they will work in their Seminar class to narrow down these choices to their Top 3 in preferential order. The pathway reveal ceremony (when students learn what academy and pathway they will be in next year) will be on Friday, March 10th.

Sophomores & Juniors: 2023-2034 Scheduling

The snow/ice days threw off our 2023-2024 scheduling timeline a bit. Juniors and sophomores, you should have turned in your scheduling sheet by now. However, if you haven't, bring it to your next English class. Counselors will be in English classes all next week helping students enter this information into PowerSchool so we can begin creating your 2023-2024 schedules.

Juniors: SAT PREP REMINDER

Wolverine Tutors, a volunteer organization through the University of Michigan, is still offering free SAT PREP/Tutoring virtually. They have groups for both SAT math and SAT Reading/Writing.

Seniors: Local Scholarships

Local Scholarships for RHS Seniors are currently posted on the counseling website. Local scholarships have paper applications that are due in the BEI office by 3:00 on March 10th. Four County Foundation Scholarships and Sandbox Foundation Scholarships are due on March 1.

College & Career Night

Mark your calendars! The area's 2023 College Night will be at Romeo High School on March 7th from 6:00-7:30. Representatives (universities, armed forces, and career fields) from all over Michigan and beyond come to Romeo to provide information and answer questions from our students and parents. This is a regional event that we're fortunate to hold in our building.

NACAC College Fairs

NACAC is holding several virtual college fairs as well as in-person college fairs, including a national college fair in Novi. High school students of all ages are welcome. Please see their website for additional information.

2023 Baccalaureate Ceremony

We are again planning a baccalaureate service for RHS grads on Tuesday, June 6th at 7pm at Barnabo Field. Here is the website to sign up: https://www.romeobacc.com/sign-up.html.

As always, we'll make sure all baccalaureate information states that the service is co-sponsored by The Romeo Baccalaureate Committee and Fellowship for Christ.

Cap and Gown Purchases

Commencement will be here before we know it. If you have not purchased your cap and gown yet make sure you do so before the price goes up on February 1st to $50.00. Click here for the link to Jostens that you will use to order. The minimum order you will need is the Cap and Gown Unit, towards the bottom of the page, for $35.50. This includes the cap, gown and tassel. No additional items are required.

Also, if you have not paid for the $20 graduation fee please do so now here.
