State of the Schools
We cannot be more excited about what lies ahead for our school and our learners. We will continue to have high expectations for all students while opening doors to the future.
I know that some of you were able to attend and thank you for your involvement, but for those whose schedule did not allow for attendance at this meeting, you will find two links below--the first one shares the evening's PowerPoint presentation and the second one allows you to watch the entire presentation.
After viewing, if you have any questions or feedback and would like to talk please email me at agonzalez@easthamptonct.org, call at 860-365-4020 or stop by the office any time.
Sincerely,
Andy

Your Opinion Matters
The budget process for the East Hampton Public Schools begins in October! As we begin the process, we’re looking for input, suggestions, and comments from teachers, staff members, parents, students, and community members. Don’t wait until the budget is presented later in the school year to express your opinion on where our dollars are best used. Get involved while the budget is being developed.
On Monday, October 28 at 6:30 PM during the Public Comment of the Board of Education meeting, all members of the community including parents, students, teachers, staff members, and citizens of East Hampton are invited to express their hopes, suggestions, and expectations for the 2020-21 budget.
We want to hear your thoughts on programs that are important to keep, new programs to be added, new ideas, new staffing, new technology, class sizes, and equipment. All of these are under consideration as we begin to develop the budget. We invite you to bring your voice to this process! Your opinion matters to us, the Board of Education, and the Superintendent of Schools!
We hope to greet you at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 28 in the T-Bell at East Hampton High School.

October's Harvest Closes Out with an Apple Tasting Experience During Lunchtimes
Memorial's lunch munchers enthusiastically taste tested Connecticut grown Cortland, Macintosh, Empire and Yellow Delicious apples. Serving locally grown apples improves taste, supports our local farmers, and improves our environment because we don’t have to truck them across the country. Win, win, win! Connecticut apples will be served all fall and into the winter in our Cheetah Cafe!
This taste testing provided these results:
Kindergarten’s favorite apple = Yellow Delicious
1st Grade’s favorite apple = Yellow Delicious
2nd Grade’s favorite apple = Empire
3rd Grade’s favorite apple = Empire
Our most adventurous grade was 2nd grade with 108 students participating in the taste testing!
