Vol. 4 Edition 3 - Planning Week!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!
Please note the dress code for each day of the week, and please note the start time of each day. We will begin our Monday morning promptly at 8am. We will have a continental packaged breakfast/snacks provided for you by Image Depot. Your classroom keys will be in your mailbox. If you would like to pick those up, and drop things off in your classroom, please plan your time wisely so that you are seated and ready to go in the Cafeteria at 8am. We have a lot of items to cover, and want to be very mindful of your time, so we must get started as scheduled.
I know that we all have been away from our campus for quite some time now, and we are returning to a "new normal." Part of this new normal will require a change in your own personal habits. Our folks that have been up here working this summer have gotten used to the new normal, but it certainly takes some getting used to. Please remember that you must wear a mask at all times, unless you are outside walking alone OR inside a room alone. We will review more procedures and protocols on Monday morning, but that is a big shift for all.
As a reminder we do have a voluntary move-in day tomorrow - please note the master schedule below as some rooms have changed! Only CCHS employees are permitted on campus tomorrow. If you are planning on coming in, please be mindful of the fact that administrators and our front office staff are working tirelessly to get prepared for your return and the return of our students. Our custodial staff is here to assist you, but unless you have an emergency, please use tomorrow to move into your classroom and allow all of us to keep our eyes on our reopening - there is still much to be done.
For those returning Coyotes, you might notice we don't have a staff picture scheduled. We are going to take one this year, but are going to wait until 2nd semester to hopefully take a non-socially distanced photograph :)

Beginning of Year Canvas Course
Each year, our District publishes a beginning of the year Canvas Course for every school. I take the liberty of breaking down the most important topics and create some type of "cheat sheet" for our staff. This year, I decided to break all of the mandatory requirements down into separate days of the week in this Hub to chunk the information. I have put direct links to every part of the BOY Canvas course for CCHS that are MANDATORY in each day of this planning week Hub below. Every day there are "Must Do's" that are mandatory and have to be completed as a professional responsibility. There are "Must Do's" for both Instructional and Non-Instructional Staff members.
I am including the link to the entire course here, for any that are interested. There are great resources throughout, but planning week can feel a bit overwhelming, so I like to just pull out the mandatory items for all of you at this time.

Furniture Questions Answered
Please know that we are here to support you. Take a look at your numbers via MyStudent, and get into your classroom and think through the furniture and spacing that you have already set up (our custodians have done an amazing job giving you a head start with a lot of spacing). If you feel that you need more desks, tables, or chairs...or that you need desks, tables or chairs removed, please simply email Robin Hawk at rhawk@pasco.k12.fl.us with your request. She will process your request, and get back with you on the status prior to the end of planning week.
Seating Charts & Emergency Lesson Plans
Seating Charts for every class must be uploaded to the PLCs & Lesson Plans section of SharePoint by Friday, 8/21.

Grade Pass Back Between myLearning & myStudent
For the 2020-2021 School year we are happy to announce that we now have grade pass back between myLearning and myStudent. With this we can now pass grades to myStudent and no longer require teachers to do double entry!

Voluntary Lunch Tutoring
Are you interested in opening your classroom for lunch tutoring? Please complete this mach form no later than Wednesday, August 26th, if you are interested! CLICK HERE!
Textbook Check-Out
All textbooks have been moved to the textbook room in the media center. All class sets of textbooks will be checked out to teachers. These books are the responsibility of the teacher to maintain. Books from a class set should never be given to students to take home. If a student needs a book to take home, a book must be checked out via the Media Center to that student as an individual, and not from your class set. Please use this link to sign up for a time on 8/17, 8/18, and 8/20 to check out a class set of books. CLICK HERE!
AP teachers or any teacher who has individual books that are checked out to students, will have to bring their classes down to the media to have those books checked out to students on an individual basis. A sign-up system for that process will be posted prior to the end of planning week.
