Mini Element Project
Krypton is not actually a planet where Superman comes from. Bummer, right? It is actually an element. Its abbreviation is Kr, and its atomic number is 83.8. The number for its mass is 36. It is in the category of noble gases. It was discovered by the scientist Sir William Ramsay in 1898. He and a chemist observed it after evaporating all of the components in liquid air, and what remained was a residue from Krypton. It's a message from SPACE!!! Kidding. This element is fairly common, and you can find it in many products. For example, t is used in incandescent bulbs. It is also found in gas lasers and Krypton fluoride lasers. Furthermore, Krypton can be found in photography.
