Industrialization
Child Labor Laws/ Hours and Payments (Political)
The Unions ended Child Labor and got shorter days and more money for the workers and a better work place. This was a very bold movie by the union and im extremely proud that they stood up for the right thing.
Infrasturcture (Economic)
The development and making of infrastructure made the cities a much better place to be and a lot more efficient. This meant a lot more money going into the governments pockets.
Women Workforce (Social/Cultural)
Women were forced to work away from they're homes to support their family financially. This led to unhealthy and disrupt family's. The mom should and would normally stay at home to take care of the baby or kids.
Immigration
3% of immigrants (Political)
The US would only take in about . 3% of immigrants. I don't understand why we only let in such a low amount. Its not like we don't have enough room.
Immgrants Changing the World (Economic)
One immigrant was Albert Einstein and he invented the light bulb. He is a perfect example that why should we deny immigrants if they can help change the world? They can be a huge economic booster!
Making their own Society's (Cultural)
Groups of immigrants would make their own little Country in the US. They would have they're home country style of food and games. This helped them not feel homesick and love living in the US.
Urbanization
Big Banks (Political)
The Big Banks had enough power with their money to control the economy. This led to multiple businesses going out of business and many monopolies. Some say they could tell the president what to do.
Mass Production (Economy)
Companies could lower cost and increase product using mass production. This would maximize product and make these companies a lot more efficient. One huge factor of mass production was the invention of the assembly line.

Over Populated (Cultural)
Since too many people were moving and living in the cities, this led to crowded living quarters. It made the rich live right next to the poor which made them very unhappy.
Progressivism
Theodore Roosevelt (Political)
Roosevelt started many antitrust cases against big companies. He also helped stop monopolies during the progressive era. He is now known as one of our country's greatest political leaders.
Rockefeller (Economic)
Rockefeller started out as a regular immigrant but with a small investment he got extremely rich! He significantly effected the economy by how rich he was and how he would run the field.
Strikes (Cultural)
Workers would strike because they were tired of working endless days and getting payed poorly. Some of the strikes would work and some of them wouldn't. But this united the workforce which effected this country in the long run.
Imperialism
Colonies (Political)
Our country would make colonies near war so we wouldn't have to go all the way back to the US to refuel/reload. These colonies would also hold refugees. This made us a lot more effective in the way
Raw Materials (Economic)
One huge factor for the US to participate in imperialism was to get raw materials. This helped our economy in a huge way.
US Culture (Cultural)
During Imperialism the US would want to spread they're culture and lifestyle to other countries. Some Countries took it in and some counties became our enemies.
World War 1
Joining the War (Political)
After many months Wilson finally joins the war and sends troops to Europe
Back Home in the US (Economic)
Back home most of the economy was focused on supporting our troops. Such as sending food and ammunition.
Soldier's Families
The culture was very sad back home in the US. The family of soldiers didn't know if there husband or dad will come back.
