ATA-Endorsed Candidates
Equity Summit PD
ATA is working with the District to address concerns regarding the docking of pay for unit members unable to attend the Equity Summit on October 31st. ATA understands that the decision to miss valuable PD is not something you take lightly. As luck would have it, life doesn't always revolve around PD training, regardless of its value. Tending to a cold or flu in a Covid world is vital, but sadly, the District is not seeing it that way. Unit members have been notified that they will be docked unless they produce a doctor's note. The irony is that we often hear how important it is to maintain balance in our lives; unfortunately, by all indications, that sage advice is not applicable this time. ATA will continue to work through this issue with the District.
Negotiations
The ATA Bargaining Team will continue negotiating a salary increase with the District on November 7th. Be sure to show your support for the team and wear your ATA clothing or ATA blue on Monday. Your ATA Bargaining Chair, Tammy Scorcia, will share an update shortly after.
Please submit your bargaining proposals and feedback ASAP if you still need to. ATA must receive your proposals by 5 pm on November 9th.
