CVHS Library Use
Students may use the CVHS Library before and after school. During class time, students may use the library as an individual visiting but only if he/she has a pass from the classroom teacher. During class time students without passes will not be admitted to the library.
Borrowing Books
The current check-out period for books is ten school days; students may re-new books for an additional ten days providing the items are not on hold.
Fines
Fines will be charged for late, lost, or damaged materials at the cost of replacement or at the rate of $0.10 a day. Students with overdue books may not check out new books until the overdue materials are returned.
Technology Use
Library computers are for research/work on curriculum related topics. Games, email, and chat are not permitted. Inappropriate use will result in loss of computer privileges according to the Appropriate Use Policy of CVSD.
Academic Study Hall
Students wishing to use the library during Academic Study Hall must first have signed up and received a pass for that period. Students may only sign up before first period begins. Space is limited, once the limit is reached, no more passes will be issued that day. Students will not be permitted to enter the library unless they return with this pass signed by their study hall teacher.
